Varicose Vein Treatment By Specialty Trained Local Physicians

Be Informed! Ask Questions! Insist on the VeinGone Doctors!
Our doctors are interventional radiology specialists in ultrasound, vascular diagnosis and treatments. No surgeon or specialist has more training in the critical aspects of laser vein treatment. They are the only local doctors who have already performed hundreds of successful laser vein procedures. No one in mid-Michigan has more experience. Ask to see our extensive collection of before and after pictures.

Approximately 25 percent of all women and 15 percent of all men suffer from greater saphenous vein reflux, commonly known as varicose veins.

The traditional surgical treatment for the condition was stripping and ligation, a solution many patients found very painful — and one that required up to six weeks of recovery time.

Mid Michigan Radiology Associates (MMRA) offers a far simpler, minimally invasive treatment called VenaCure™ Laser Venous System.

Using today’s most advanced medical laser technology, VenaCure makes varicose veins vanish without all the disadvantages of older treatments including a prolonged recovery period.

It’s a quick, effective outpatient procedure that involves minimal discomfort, and is performed right in our office. After treatment, a patient can simply walk out of the office and after taking it easy for a few days resume normal activities .

In the VenaCure treatment, a laser fiber is inserted into the vein through a tiny puncture site. The laser energizes the fiber as it is withdrawn from the vein. Energy emitted from the tip of the fiber causes only the treated vein to close, while the body automatically routes the blood to other healthy veins.

This is a varicose vein treatment that’s perfect for today’s busy lifestyles. Patients can look and feel better almost immediately and with very little inconvenience. They don’t have to disrupt their normal schedules. It’s very rewarding when advancements in medical technology enable us to provide an alternative that’s far superior to older treatments.

The Interventional Radiologists at MMRA have been diagnosing venous disease and performing minimally invasive venous procedures such as chemotherapy chest port placement, Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC), venous declotting and angioplasties for years. The VenaCure TM laser procedure is an exciting new way to treat a common problem in an outpatient setting without surgery or hospitalization,
